I use to have the same problem until I started using wooden hangers. they're a bit more expensive, but I buy mine at Sam's Club and it's not a problem anymore for me.

the sole factor that worked for me replaced into ironing the shirt first in the previous putting it on the hanger. conserving the hanger with a shirt in a good closet makes the shirt stretch with the different clothing. I used to place uniform shirts next to denims in an somewhat tight closet and as I moved the clothing around, the denims unquestionably stretched the shirts out. I wiped sparkling out my closet and left a million/2 an inch between hangers and that they don't get marked anymore even nonetheless i exploit purely those previous cord hangers. good success.

Have you tried Huggable Hangers? We got some last year from Home Shopping Network (HSN.com) they are even good housekeeping approved. We freed up more room in our closets, the clothes don't fall off and no more unsightly bumps. I tried them first in my sons closet I was tired of clothes falling off and ending up on the floor, because then he would just stick them in the dirty clothes bag without having ever worn them. We don't have that problem anymore. We ended up donating all our old hangers to the domestic violence shelter thrift store.
The closets are neater and there is a ton more room in the closets.

I get the plastic one's at Kohl's or Wal-Mart. The ends are curved and I don't get the bumps. And they're free! If all you wear is t-shirts like me why would you want to put them on a hanger that costs more than the shirt?

I think the best idea is to fold your clothes that is delicate enough to get bumps on it.
It is true you would need a wooden hanger if the fabric can lose it's shape easily.

Don't use wire hangers. Wooden ones or padded ones are kinder to your clothes. If you can't afford to buy them try padding wire ones yourself with a bit of foam rubber and something like satin or cotton to cover it.

I ALWAYS USE TWO OF THE BIG PLASTIC HANGER . IF I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH HANGERS I WILL PAD THE END OF THE HANGERS WITH OLD SHOULDER PADS OR SMALL HAND TOWELS, USE ANYTHING YOU HAVE TO PAD. I HAVE USED SOCKS.

very simple - just wet it gently at the bumps after you wear it - in a few min. as it dries the bumps are gone
