If you were walking along the street, on a cold, winter night, and came across a homeless family, with their children, and one of them asked you for change, would you oblige and give in? If yes, how much would you give them? And what advice would you give them?

I'd hand them money without them asking, howmuch would depend on how much was in my pocket that I could afford to give away, and unless they asked me a question , I wouldn't offer advice unless I knew of a shelter or safe house close by, then I might mention it.

Well if I had lot's of money I'd take them and let them eat until they were full then I'd take them and find them shelter... and then somehow try helping them get on thier feet ... but since we're not living in a perfect world... I'd give them what I could, then I'd call around to every church or shelter until I found someone who would take them in...give them a warm place to stay and some decent food.
I just can't understand how in America children are starving and sleeping on the streets in the cold, and the leaders are spending billions to take care of other countries and trying to fix their problems, while our own country falls apart daily.

The first thing I would do is take them somewhere and get them a good hot meal. I would then try to locate a shelter that would take them in. There are a lot of shelters that help the homeless, especially those with children.

yes i would give them money because nobody choses nor do they deserve to live on the streets...because a greedy slumlord wants more money or they lost there job for some reason i have been there and done that....this goverment is sick ignore homeless americans......so they can put more money in a war to protect there oil........and my advice to they move to india for a year ..change your name to a mohamad ....then come back to america..the goverment will give you a well being grant so you dont have to step over homeless americans this is a huge grant so you can buy a house a car and a motel and then you will have the american dream.......these grants are real look them up...

Help them yes !Why are they homeless ? To believe you can not get help is wrong. Help is there, You can't blame everything on everyone else. If you have to pack up and move do it! If you have to work a job you feel is below you , work it. Self esteem you have to give yourself. I would help anyone who was down and needed a hand . but I won't help someone who won't help their self. Been there done that, I know what it is like to do without Caring is finding a way they can do it Not doing it for them.

I work with the homeless in the community that i live in and if the world would stop and take a look at them they are people too. Wtih the holidays just past, we have seen the community give very generously to all who live at the mission that i am so very happy to work at.

Take them to a restaurant close by and feed them; then give them some money for food to last for at least 2 days. I would advice them to go to a shelter (if I know of one, if not, I would check).

As a Christian (Muslims as well) one should be obliged at least to give for a loaf of bread, for children. Advice,..., are you serious, what kind of advice can anyone give to an issue a society cannot?

If they are in Los Angeles County Now they can call 211, to receive immediate shelter, and other services. It falls under title 17 of California Law. I don't know if other states have similar services.

Me and my sister, Cecile. we are in basic terms a three hundred and sixty 5 days aside, so we get flawed for twins on a customary foundation. The resemblance is so superb that frequently as quickly as we seem at pictures from some years in the past (before all of us started loss of existence our hair in a diverse way), we gained't tell who's who. humorous factor is we don't seem in any respect like the the remainder of our siblings.
