How about an Aussie girl, Cate Blanchett. She is such as chameleon that you probably don't know that she is Australian. She played Katharine Hepburn in " The Aviator " for which she won the best actress in a supporting role. She has also played a diverse range of characters from Queen Elizabeth 1st through to modern day characters and has acted on the stage in London, New York and Sydney.

Jennifer Garner. She is so versatile and she really puts a lot of emotion in her roles. She brings any character to life. Just watch her films 13 going on 30 etc.

Charlize Theron is bitchin and georgeous and has amazing capability to shape shift into virtually any role for any theme. You know if you go to one of her movies you will enjoy it. Jake Gyllenhall is also good because of Donnie Darko
