it used to do this when it was on battery so i stopped using battery but now it has started doing the same thing on electric power too.

the laptop was bought in 2005 may ths sound comes on,i can see shadow of what is comming on the computer but it's like a black screen infront of the picture on the screen and when i close the lid half it comes back and i can see the site.

Most likely you have some Pixels out and maybe more going out. You can type in your modle number on a search engine and then read the reviews. You can also post questions at many websites to get answers from others that may have had the same problem.

Well , it could be that the video card is damage or that the power setting are not properly set . Does the laptop turns off during this ?? or makes a sudden restart ??
