Yikes -- haven't heard a thing about it. Sad story if it is true. I'm glad it's not on TV, though. It would just be one more way to cause the guy's family to feel worse (if possible). And, all the groups for and against the war would jump on the bandwagon to use the poor guy's death for something.

The Baltimore media reported this sad story earlier in the week (Monday 12/25 and Tuesday 12/26). The story took place in St. Mary's County, which is considered more DC suburbs than Baltimore. If you went to washingtonpost.com, you would find more coverage. Perhaps Baltimore media would rather cover the police murdering the mentally ill rather than a soldier who didn't want to return to Iraq. The soldier could have always left the military but the mentally ill do not have the luxury of leaving their illness. Hence, both felt better off being "suicided" by cop rather than getting treatment or obeying military orders.
