When we get in it 1st thing in the morning it will turn over but not fire up when we get it going it will turn over no problem but if we leave it for 4 hours it will not fire up we have changed the heater plugs the battery HELP

Check the glow plug relay. Have some one turn the key and listen under the under the hood for the clicking sound of the relay engaging. It should be fairly audible. Also if on or more glow plugs are bad it can cause problems starting. Check the wiring at each one, and the relay. That is my best guess. Even new glow plugs can have a bad one or two in the lot.

At this time of year your fuel can get contaminated with condensation inside the tank. Under the fuel filter should be a bleeding valve. Stick a jar under it and drain the fluid off. If waters present it will show by seperating from the diesel. If this is the case repeat this procedure every couple of days until you've got rid of all the water then fill your tank to the top with fresh diesel.

lots of things could cause the problem, Blocked air filter, control system for the heater plugs, or electrical connection to them. poor compressions in the cylinders,

I would have a compresion check if i was you sounds like low compression , if its low compression its either valves need grinding in or replacing that can be done by a compitent mechanic , or piston bore and rings worn out that would require a replacment engine

have a garage or a breakdown service check your alternator - this keeps the battery charged and if it is not doing its job properly it will cause starting problems
