Help w/loading Sims@ Holiday addition for PC/laptop......?

On our laptop my daughter had the Sims 2, Sims2 Open for Business expansion & Sim2 University expansion loaded. Today she wanted to add her new Sims2 expansions to the laptop that she got for Christmas - Nightlife, Pets & Holiday Edition. The only one that won't load is the Holiday Edition. She get's a message that it can't or won't load and to load Pets2 instead (can't remember the first part of message, just remember it says "load Pets2 instead").

Has anyone had this happen when loading all these expansion Sims2 games? If so, what can be done? This was one of her Christmas presents & it seems like money wasted if it won't load with the others.

She put in the Sims2 Pets as it said to do and it just plays Pets. For some reason it won't let her install/load Sims2 Holiday Edition.

Sorry, the question should say Sims2 Holiday Edition not addition. Just a little tired. :o)

I think the Holiday Edition is a full version of The Sims 2 with the Holiday Party pack which contains some new objects, skins, etc. I'd say you should take it back and swap it for the Holiday Party pack by itself.

I'm guessing the reason why you getting the error message is because by installing from the Holiday Edition means that you are trying to run or install Sims 2 again.
