i had a c-section on 9-14-06, i had none of the "normal" bleeding afterwards, exactly six weeks after my c-section i had my first period, it was fine, my last 2 periods have been late, and on the second day of my periods i have severly bad stomach cramps(make you stay in bed, in the fetal position all day cramps), all over my stomach, not just the lower section, my incision mark is still numb and the area underneath always hurts..anyone else had this happen? i have a dr appointment but it's a week away

The numbness is normal, they had to cut nerves, you'll get full sensation back in a year or so. The rest...I had three C-sections and nothing like this. The area underneath the scar hurting makes me wonder. When you're had periods has the bleeding been overly heavy? Have you had any spotting? I'm wondering if the internal inscion has healed right. Until you see your Dr. I'm not sure what to suggest.

You may have adhesions at the incision sight. i do.

My periods didn't come back for 12 months, but the lochia lasted for 10 weeks because i couldn't sit still.

i have horrible pain in my gut when I ovulate and when i bleed.

My doctor said there's really nothing I can do. I never did get a second opinion, but I am going to get the Mirena IUD, which are reported to lessen your crampig or eliminate your periods over time.

I had a c section 3 years ago and I'm fine now. it took 1 year for my periods to get back to normal but a few months after I had him I got cysts on my ovaries that caused a lot of pain. Mine went away all on there own. But the are very painful and they came back every month for like 4 months, until I got pregnant again. Good luck.

My section was 10 years ago and i still get numbness in that area and after any baby your periods will change i wouldn't worry so much! I never had PMS until i had my son and now i have sever PMS 2 weeks before my period every month. As for the cycle they will likely straighten themselves out! Good luck and congratulations!

I wonder if you have been moving around alot? Walking and such?
My son is 14 months old and my stomach is numb for about 3 inches above the scar over past my belly button on the side where they "tied off" and it hurts sometimes so bad I want to cry. Once, I accidently zipped my belly up in a pair of tight jeans.

Well I think that you should try to remain in bed when on your cycle and take motrin for the pain, I think that maybe the incision healed incorrectly which in turns causes your pain when your release your eggs. I do hope that helps I don't know how that feels but I feel your pain about cramps!

I used to have "phantom" pains from my c-section scar. I have always had horrible periods....do you think you're hormones are outta whack? I'd call the dr and speak w/his/her nurse.
