I have a SeaClone SCPS 100 skimmer and I want to run it on an air pump. I see that there are so many sizes and different prices for the pumps. Which size can I use to to make it run most efficiently without spending alot of money?

Get the biggest one you possibly can. Small ones are useless for protein skimmers.

NOT my favorite brand. That said, you could do worse. It also depends on what model you have. Most skimmers with an air stone/airpump just are not effective enough for the amount of trouble. You can get a small powered skimmer (Lee's does make one) that is far better. I like Precision Marine or ETS, or C-Skim units. YOu can go budget with a SeaClone or Visijet but the results will be less than perfect. It all depends on what you want to keep. With a coral reef system, don't skip. This is the second most critical equipment after the lights. If its just fish, the Lee's will do fine, you may just have a few more water changes to do.
