I totally agree. My friend nina was actually thinking of designing a line, she makes her own clothes and they are HOT HOT HOT!! I am a plus size girl and i love to look and feel sexy. Even some clothes from Lane Bryant and Fashion Bug and Kohl's are kinda frumpy...im not old yet and dont want to look it!!

I completely agree with this. Even stores that advertise that they have plus size clothing , they only go up to a size 18 or 20, that's barely plus size, I can fit in to that, but there are people that are 20 and up, and what about people that get pregnant and don't want to wear maternity, after all, once you're done with maternity clothes there really is no use for them. Being a 20 right now, when I'm pregnant at 4 or 5 months, I"m going to need something little larger size.
I totally agree.

Absolutely, a lot of the clothing on those little Plus racks in Dept Stores, my mama wouldn't even wear!
This is crazy to me considering that the average size in North America is a 14-16...
These stores are not looking at their true demographic!
Oh and by the way, for all the people hating on the plus size people, it is a fact of life, some people have medical conditions, like myself, I have hypothyroidism, which makes it dang near impossible to lose weight...
and I am not munching down on donuts everyday...I go to the gym and do pilates and yoga and still I am a plus size...it is possible to be a bigger healthy girl or guy!
Other people are just not small, they are larger boned or taller and are just not genetically made to be small people...
People have children, which changes your size and shape as well in a lot of cases! Making it necessary to go to a Misses or Women size for allowance in the bust or hip...
I used to work at Le Chateau, which is a skinny girl store here in Canada when I was tiny, before children and medical conditions and I was about a size six...the girls I worked with thought a person were "getting big" if they saw a person in a size10-12, which is freaking ridiculous! i have been on both sides of this debate and it is no picnic either way...btw, the XL at Le Chateau is about a size 10-12...
The people who have no size tolerance are obviously having their own issues with body image or, dare I say it, are just plain narrow minded!
And you wanna know what else, on the Clearance Racks, all that are left are all kinds of cute things if you are size 0 to 4, who honestly wears that size...

Yes, they should. It isn't fair that all the cute clothing comes in smaller sizes. I am a size 14, and that doesn't mean that I need a tent to cover up with. I am right on the border between normal and plus, and it really bothers me that most of the cuter and sexier clothing is NOT in the plus size section. I am NOT fat, and I am NOT ugly, and I should NOT be made to feel that way!

I agree! Well, I'm not plus size but I have shopped for family members who are and outside of Lane Bryant where you spend big bucks you can't find any really nice looking clothes for the bigger people. When you go into department stores all the clothes in the big women's section just have the corniest sounding brands and look like garbage. You should think of starting your own business where you offer a stylish plus size clothing line, I bet you'd do really well.

Just need to put in my two cents to the people that are trying to piss us ladies off.
I'm a 24 which is bigger than I want/need to be. But I will NEVER be below a 14 which is where most plus size stores start. I am simply not built to be small. I'm nearly 6' tall and broad/muscular. 18 would be a VERY attractive size for me and my build. But you can't find an 18 in AE can you? I haven't even looked... I'm sure it wont be an 18 either...more like a 14....
Lovin' the power that comes with my size,

I completely agree. I have a nice full figure that I love, but they think that with my waist line I should be about five inches taller and my arms should be about three inches longer. I mean I can go to plus sized stores for women, but they are mostly for women much older than myself. I'm sorry, I'm not ready to wear a moo-moo out of the house. I generally buy things and take them home to hem them. How sad, right?

Yes, sexier plus sizes are a little tricky to find. I just wish they would start making clothes go up to larger sizes in all stores! Instead of just making sm, med, lrg, they need to keep going & make 1-3x in everything!

By making more plus size stores, it's encouraging being that size. I understand being happy the weight you are, and some people with certain health conditions have no choice, but in most cases, being a plus size is unhealthy, as excess weight leads to health problems.

I'm not a plus-sized person, but if there's a market for it, then yes, there should be more. Have you thought about going into clothing design yourself? You might be able to have fun and make good money at the same time.
