The sims 2 Nightlife and The Sims 2??

Question

I have the sims 2 nightlife when I put the CD in the computer it ran then a box popped up and said English or Spanish and I clicked one and then a box popped up saying you need the sims 2 to play. I cant go to the store and get the sims 2 so is there another way to download the sims 2 it's my first time playing the computer one.

Sorry, but Nightlife is only an expansion pack. It has goodies and additions to Sims 2, but is is NOT a game unto itself. Sims 2 is the actual game, and needs to be installed for Sims 2 to work.

If I was you, I'd wait. You'll probably get more fun out of Sims 3. And what would happen if you got Sims 3 then never played the sims 2 and expansion packs again. It would be pretty pointless to buy any more expansion packs incase of that happening. Also if you waited for sims 3 you will have more money so it will make it easier to find the money for the sims 3, so you could get it sooner. Anyway, to the point. I think you should wait.

SIms 2 nightlife is not the game, it is an expansion of the sims 2. It only contains updates and upgrades and new things for sims 2.

There is no other way to play it, but to purchase sims 2

Here is a tip. You only need to actually own the last expansion pack to play the game, however you will need to have the preceding disks to install. I suggest you go the your video store and hire Sims 2, install it, install the expansion pack, take the disk back to the video store and then play the game using only the Nightlife expansion pack disk.

But take note, if you end up loving the game you should really buy it. I own each and every Sims 1 and Sims 2 release.

You can download the Sims 2 for a price at sims2.com. Personally I love the game, I own every single one. It's definately not a waste of money.
