No it isn't. You need to call your obgyn and tell him. This may be leading to a miscarriage or early delivery.

The cervix is loaded with blood vessels and bleeds easily during pregnancy. It is common to see a little blood after a Pap, an exam, or after sex. If you have had an abnormal Pap, or some type of infection, bleeding is even more likely.
LOTS of blood could mean a problem, perhaps with the location of your placenta. It could be dangerous.
Is the baby moving normally? Are you having any pain? These things are other signs that something could be wrong.
You should call your healthcare provider if it's really that much blood. They will want to do an ultrasound, or check a recent report to verify the position of the placenta.
Good luck.

This is not normal!!! I work in the OB unit as an RN. If any bleeding occurs after sex it would be minimal and hardly noticeable. I would suggest you go to the ER and be checked out to make sure nothing is wrong. Why risk the life of your baby or yourself on the unknown. It could be something like abrupto previea where the placenta begins to separate from the womb. Trust your instincts, you know what is normal for you, someone on the phone does not.

No, not normal. Maybe some light spotting occasionally, but really bleeding is worrisome no matter how far along you are.
If the OB's office isn't open (don't know when you wrote this) go to the L&D unit of your hospital. Why do people always say go to the ER? All they do is sent you to L&D, they don't deliver babies there and they don't even have the equipment to properly evaluate you or monitor you and your baby there.

Some spotting and a little bleeding is okay, but bleeding more than a period does not sound normal to me. I would definitely go to the ER asap. It's okay if it's a false alarm, but you shouldn't take a risk in this kind of case. Goodluck!.....and go.

Call your doctor right away or just go in to the hospital. Tell them it is very heavy and more than a period. You aren't fully impressing upon them how much your are bleeding. If it was me I would just go in and get checked to make sure everything is okay. Better safe than sorry.

If you bleed EVERYWHERE, you need to go to the ER. You could have placenta previa or something dangerous. I'm not trying to scare you, but you should definitely go to the ER if this happens. It is not normal to bleed as much as you say you are.

spottin yes because the cervix is more sensitive...bleeding everywhere, even enough to wear a pad is not normal. You need medical attention.

This is NOT normal. Call up your GYN as soon as their office opens or get yourself to ER and get checked out. It could be a possible sign of trouble. Best to check it out just in case.

I would go with your gut instinct.
If you feel that something isn't right, then I would ring your OBE or alternatively go straight to the hospital and explain to them what has happened and DON'T LEAVE until you have been checked out and you feel reassured that everything is fine.
