I had a friend named Sunny in school. I like it spelled Sunni though. Sonny reminds me of a guys name.

I like Sunni better. I think Sonny is too much like a boy's spelling. It's cute, but I personally don't think that it's what I like for a baby, though... kind of like the name Apple.

What you name your babie is your affair but I do think you should think about it for a minute. They are babies only a short time and after that it is a long time to have to live with a babby name.

Name it something that it can be proud of all its life and not what you think is cute.

I see this same question many times and think to myself that it is not fare to the child. This time I answered.

I never liked names that ended in y but I am sure some do.

With the U it is a foreign word meaning the great. Sunnie

I love it. Its a very nice name and not too common for a girl. You should spell it Sonny so it doesn't seem too... "Sunny" if you catch my meaning! lol

I'm not really crazy about the name, (probably because I know some people who, let's just say, aren't my FAVORITE people, and they named their daughter that.) Anyway, IF I was to use the name, I like it spelled "Sunni" better.

I don't really like the name. If I did like it i would go with the unusual spelling. However, I think people would pronounce it wrong. If I came across this spelling I would pronounce it: sooney
