I am 5 weeks pregnant now, not ready for second one yet? Its unplanned ! and searching on internet regarding implication of getting pregnancy in very short gap. worried about preterm, low birth wait etc.. I am in dilema, not sure whether to continue if above complications are real? scared about having preterm baby?

By the way no other worries ( no family, social, economic issues) for me other than scared of unhealthy baby ?? Does anyone has suggestions for me! greatly appreciate your inputs. thank you in advance...

You should not be overly worried about complications due to close spacing.
It is, however, very important for you to take folic acid. Folic acid deficiency in early pregnancy can cause certain birth defects in the baby. Women who have babies close together are at increased risk for deficiency in this vitamin, since they may have depleted their stores in the previous pregnancy.
You can buy this over-the-counter. It's also called 'folate.' You should take 400 mcg daily.

Ok, you can stop worrying. I had almost the exact same thing happen. I had a baby about 7 months old when I got pregnant again. They're almost 2 1/2 and just turned 1 now and both are as healthy as can be. The youngest actually weighed a little more than the older :) They were both term, and they were actually both C-sections, so even if your first was a C-section, there is no real reason to be worried. I was scared to death having another baby so soon after a C-section (the 2 year old was actually my second baby, second C-section), but everything was fine.

Talk to your Doctor about these concerns, and definetly don't procrastinate in getting in to see one, but you'll be fine. Congratulations!

You don't have anything to worry about. Just keep yourself healthy and the baby will be fine. The only caveat to that would be if you had a c-section the first time, the doctor might want to keep an eye on you, but I don't think that even in that circumstance, that any physician would recommend aborting the pregnancy because of that.

The worst thing you'll have to worry about is how to take care of 2 babies so close together, but people have been doing it for millenniums, so i'm sure you're going to be fine!

My aunt and uncle are exactly 9 months apart in age. My grandmother was told she was pregnant at her 6 week checkup. Everything was fine with her second pregnancy and labor. So don't worry, April was a while back so you should be fine. A friend of mine had her baby in May and shes pregnant again, too. So don't worry!

There is 13 months between myself and my brother, I was just 4 months when my Mum fell pregnant again. My brother was born fit & healthy, weighed just slightly more than me and came bursting into the world a mere 5 days early. Don't worry everything will be fine, you have had a bit of a shock but your body will cope.

many women have babies less than a year apart, you really don't need to be worried about complications. 7 months is plenty of time for your body to heal up from your previous pregnancy. My Brother and I are only 16 months apart and everything was fine, and my sister in law had her first 2 kids 19 months apart and it was fine too.

Relax and enjoy your pregnancy. The main problem you may find is exhaustion from having two small children but hey wont that be wonderful for them when they get old enough to play together. Talk to your health visitor/midwife about any worries but physically I dont think you will have any problems. Good luck.

Make sure you take your vitamins because your body didn't have time to actually get back to normal. Your baby will be fine though, I had my sons 16 months apart, and they are fine. The youngest one was my biggest baby.

i wouldnt worry, although it is an accident, just go with the flow...as long as there not uber close it should be ok, while ideally you should wait about a year accidents happen as long as its not within 6 months your ok, because within that time your still healing alot...

congrats
