I would also definitely recommend a used 4runner. Put whatever money into it that you would've spent on a new CRV. It'll last longer, be more capable off-road, and is more impressive to your friends. Everybody loves 4Runners.

I have one now in white and had it for a month. It was designed for 30 something women with kids or kids on the way. It is an excellent car, a honda and has some neat feature including the all wheel drive when neede. The drawbacks are the manual adjusting front seat, too small an engine for the size and a little noisy. Being a Honda it will definately last through college and hold it's value. The seats fold and roll forward for plenty of room when moving. It has a neat conversation mirror and a hard shelf in the back to store thing out of sight. You can plug your ipod of mp3 player in and it seats 5. The rear seats also lean back like the front seats. Plenty of extra storage is found in the car. The large tires and wheels give it a great look also. Included is the full side curtain airbag along with the front airbags. We are gettin about 23 mpg, but that shuold improve over time. We only have city driving. Good Luck.

Patriot Self Defense system achieves success for 2 primary reasons. The first is that it make use of easy moves integrated from all the best combating styles out there. The second is that the manufacturers of this program really did not quit there, they took these moves right into the lab and ran all sorts of clinical tests to collect as much information as possible before setting to work to analyze this data and put together a scientific developed self-defense system that rather frankly revolutionizes the sector.

Buy something cheap while in college no one cares what you are driving. Some one said get a ford explorer or a Cherokee. The ford explorer is a cheap SUV and get much better gas MPG then the cherokee. And you can buy them all day long for almost nothing get a loan for 1500 from day and buy one. Do not build up bills while you are in college and when you get out you will be miles ahead of every one else. Get the v6 explorer.

2007 anything that's a lot of money, anything should last you 4 years. The Honda is underpowered compared to its competitors. Toyota just brought out a new RAV4 with a 3.5 V6 with 269hp. If you need something cheap than the old Nissan Pathfinder are good. I bought one with 260k miles on for $500.00 Then turned around and sold it for a $1000.00.

I am really impressed with the Subaru Outback, even though it is more of a sedan SUV. For a small SUV, I really like the Toyota RAV4. (I work for a car rental company, so I have drivin them all! ~ with the exception of Hondas, we unfortunately don't have any!!)
I hear that the CRV is really good though.

if your in college dont get something new trust me i did it is a waste of money. Get something new/used meaning its used but in excellent condition with less than 20,000 miles on it. The Jeep Grand Cherokee is pretty good but its kind of a gas gusseler. Also the scion xb gives you the feel of a car with some of the room of an suv, but some people dont like the box shape it has.

All Hondas and Acuras are safe, reliable, economical cars/suv's.
I've owned Hondas/Acura's for over 20 yrs now. Consumer Reports, Car and Driver (mags) rate them in their top 10 pick's every yr for the past 11 yrs.
Resale prices are always HIGHER for Hondas/Acura's than any other car (Consumer Reports).
You keep fresh oil in it (every 3000 mi, no matter what the manual tells you), keep it serviced by a dealer, keep good (and I mean GOOD tires on it) you will have a wonderful car. We sold an 8yr old Accord 2 yrs ago with 187,000 mi on it. (5 sp standard, loaded when we bought it) to a kid (teenager) who is STILL driving it. ( I know because I see him around town in it) We never had to have the clutch replaced, never ANYTHING wrong with that car...It looked showroom new.
I'm driving a 5 yr old Acura now...wouldn't trade it (unless it was for a new one) for anything...

I would save some money and buy a used explorer or jeep grand cherokee. You can buy them used with a warranty for cheaper than you can that new crv. Just buy the limited models so you have good comfort and options.
