I saw a movie, not to long ago, about the 60s, it basically follows this one family throughout the 1960s, you see Woodstock, the Vietnam War, Civil Rights Movement, drugs, JFK assasination, basically a lot of what happened in the 60s. It was a fictional movie, meaning the people weren't real or anything, but it was well done. Does any of this ring a bell?

Sounds like the 1999 mini series The 60's made for tv. I don't remember which network, I am thinking NBC or ABC...
It starred Josh Hamilton, Julia Stiles, Jerry O'Connell, and Jeremy Sisto.

It is available on DVD from amazon.com

(In 2000, they did The 70's too)
