Refer to your owners manual. If you don't have one look under the steering wheel area,it should be a square or rectangular black box with a plastic cover.even if you locate it you may need the owners manual to give you a diagram of the fuses as most fuse boxes nowdays don't indicate what they are for.The fuse for the cigarette lighter should be interior illumination, good luck.

if you are sitting in drivers seat - look down to your left - you will have to exit car and look under the dash , If you have an owners manual it will tell you exactly where that particular fuse box is..anyway, each place a fuse fits into is labeled..take out the fuse and look at it...there should be one continuous little metal piece inside the plastic, if the metal has a break in it or looks burned...replace it.

open your fuse box (the one controlling the cigarette lighter should be inside the car) under the steering wheel, close to the bonnet switch. it should have a diagram showing which fuse leads to where. remove the fuse(s) that you think are blown and check them. if they are blown, the metal will seem a bit 'burnt'. replace them with one of identical colour and voltage (they are colour coded). Good luck

under the steering wheel on the left hand side is a fuse panel. You have to remove the cover,on the back side of the cover is a chart that tells you the number and the voltage of the fuse. Number meaning where it,s placed.

I own a 99 and if you open drivers side door there is a panel on the side of the dash, it will have a lip you can pull on. there should be a little white fuse puller(little whte tweasers). I think the passenger side has one also, not 100% positive. the panel will have a label that has numbers and descriptions that refer to numbers on the fuse block.
