Laptops have a toggle that switches between the built-in display, external display, and both. Sometimes the driver provides this as a right-click option on the desktop. Other times, you can only switch via the keyboard. The key sequence is usually something like Fn + F5 or Fn + F8 - each toggles to the next option.

it depends on the model of laptop. Generally you hit the function key and a F* key such as Fcn + F7. The F* key will most likely have a picture of a monitor.
If this doesn't work right click on the desktop and click properties then navigate through the settings menu.

hiya is particularly no benefit as this is going to nonetheless use the video card outfitted into the workstation. and maximum laptops have a svga socket which permits connection of a projector it quite is comparable to an exterior video demonstrate. so i believe this is a F7 key which activates the port with an svga cable.
