I alreay have Mozilla FireFox as my default internet browser.

No, it is best if you do not uninstall IE 6. You will still need it for Windows update. In addition, not all websites render correctly on Firefox, though you could use the IE tab and view extensions.

I would leave it becuase there are some websites that require you to use IE. A lot of sites that Microsoft uses for user help, only work in IE, along side a lot of other troubleshooting sites. If you don't want to use it , then don't but leave it on there for those pesky sites that need it. It's ok to uninstall it, it wont hurt the system.
