He likes spending time with you, but he may be tired from work. It could be worse, he could hang out with his buddies and not get home until the wee hours of the morning.

He more than likely asks you to watch tv with him because it makes him content/happy to just "be" with you. Even though he falls asleep, by you being there with him shows that you want to spend down time with him also. I would tell him that when he falls asleep you are going to go on the computer and will turn the tv down and completely off when you go to bed. That will allow you some time just hanging out, your computer time with a quieter tv, and an unvoiced message that it is off to bed when you are ready. He should have no problem with that, and it would offer a nice compromise on his part and yours so both of you can have some peace.

that might be his way of a little affection or what he may call you and his down time together. i think that is cute. when he falls asleep give him a kiss and turn the tv off and go to bed or watch something else on tv. that might be his personal comfort zone when you are watching tv with him, he feels safe and secure and goes to sleep. maybe you should really pay attention to the moment and not what he does in the moment.

Just like a woman likes to cuddle after sex and a lot of men dislike it and would rather go to sleep, get something to eat or whatever, to a man this is what cuddling is to a woman. For me anyway. I mean just relaxing, watching tv with someone you love curled up next to you, sharing body heat while slowly drifting off to sleep is comforting and intimate to a man. It makes me feel closer to my girlfriend by falling asleep then waking up and just lying their in a state of being half awake, half asleep, dreamily letting time pass as you just enjoy feeling her next to you, knowing she loves and accepts you is one of the better pleasures in life.

The wifey wants me to watch movies with her. Usually about half way I am already sleeping. I get up at 4:30 and she gets up later. As long as I am doing something I am fine. It is the getting still that lets you go to sleep. If you do not want him to go to sleep then you ned to do other than b still.

lol. apparently you don't think TV is quality time. which is not a bad thing, don't get me wrong. he likes you next to him. there is nothing wrong with that. my husband likes to hold me while watching TV and going to sleep. it's just our thing. before, he would get up and play on the computer while i slept. then he started taking pictures of me sleeping and would post them on the internet. after awhile he stopped doing that and just started going to sleep together. either you learn to deal with it....or you make him spend time you another way.

Heahaha welcome to my world.
My brother and his little brat friends blare the T.V., then fall asleep in the middle of a show...so I go upstairs or on the computer and read.
But then I figured out a trick.
Just, when the person is sleeping, dip there hand (fingers)
in warm water...----------------------then they'll wet themselves.
Now no one falls asleep when I'm awake!
Good luck-----and happy new year!

are u talking about ur husband?
if u r, he probably loves u a lot and wants ur company. he probably really enjoys being with u and falling asleep knowing that u're there. and once he falls asleep, why not turn off the television or at least turn it down if it is blaring?
he loves u. u should b happy.

Hey cutie pie,
Good question i guess that just happens when he starts to relax.Try keeping him talking tell him your foot is itching and need it rubbed or your neck is sore and need him to massage it. Get him moving entertaining you and pampering you for a change.
Keep him busy bet he will not be falling asleep

wow you must be married! lol my husband does that. he wants me to spend time with him so he will come over and sit with me for about 2 seconds then he trips the magical butt button that puts him to sleep. then he gets mad if i get up to use the computer. i didn't want his company to sleep i wanted his company for conversation or touch. not much point if he falls asleep.
