Okay, I have a friend living with me and my husband at the moment, I've allowed several friends to live with us over the years to teach them things about life and what not...
This one is different. She doesn't listen to anything i say, or my husband says, she thinks she's better than everyone else, she's either happy or mad, hiding or screaming, I hate this, and i can't figure out why it's so hard to teach her respect, morals, and anything about taking care of a household and bills. She just doesn't seem to want to learn... Does anyone have any pointers on this one? She's an 18 year old bratt, who's parents never taught her how to even turn off a light, she cant' cook, doesn't want to learn, she can't clean, or even hold down a job... I need help with this one... She's too hard for me to break, or teach....
Real answers please, I'm not interested in a bunch of crap.
Thanx, Best wishes.

She knows that one of the reasons i allow people to stay here is to teach them about life, so they don't end up falling due to their parents miss teachings, or non teachings, She pays 200 a month rent, well she;s supposed to anyways.... I won't kick her out yet, because she's not ready.

i would only kick her out if she did something horrible, like brought drugs in the house, or i found out she was doing them, or she was hurting a child or animal... something that would be morally wrong in my eyes, she knows the reasons she would be booted.

Are we a little high on ourselves? You took her in. Did you inform her that the price of entry was your moral guidance? Wow. Sounds like a bad deal.

Tell her to straighten up or kick her out.

Tough love is sometimes the best tool for teaching.
