this to set up a secure home network and I changed the IP address in the Linksys set up to 192.168.1.103

How do I change this back to the default 192.168.1.1 ?

goto 192.168.1.103 and navigate through the menus to the LAN setup screen. Simply change it back. You can also do a full reset of the box. To do this I think you either have to hold down the reset button while plugging the router in or by just holding it down for 15 seconds. Changing the IP of the router doesn't offer any real protection I don't think unless you disable the DHCP function and assign IP's manually. It really isn't worth doing; however. Just make sure you have strong passwords and good encryption (WPA preferably). A strong password has special characters, mixed case letters and numbers and no words that can be found in the dictionary. A combination of at least 3 of these is recommended. i.e lower case letters upper case letters and numbers or letters (either case) numbers and a special character such as a period.

put the new address into your browser - and login to your router - and you should be able to set it back to what you want, or hold down the reset button on the back panel of the router for about 15 seconds
