I dont understand----WHy DO AFRICAN AMERICAN's BLAME OTHER PEOPLE FOR THEIR PROBLEMS?

Here are a couple reasons I get for asking, "Why african Americans dont work hard to better themselves in society" (check my profile)
1. Media Conspiracy- The media DOES NOT commit the crime, they just report it! They dont give the black guy a gun to rob and rape someone, there are solid stats to prove it.
2. Slavery - For crying out loud I haven't known any white man who owned a slave, do you? why do blacks feel the need to be compensated.
3. Poverty, lack of Help- This I find laughable, we hear of stories from immgrants, AFRICANS, MEXICANS, CHINESE who come to this country, from war torn countries, no parents, poor, who cant even speak english. They work real hard to have an education, job, a stable family, and a quality life. Help is everywhere, you just have to have the WILL to look for it.
Im sick and tired off all this complaining from African-Americans, frankly they are giving the AFRICANS a bad wrap in this country. We all need to pitch in to make his "america" work.

There are a factor of reasons.
It could be attributed to laziness: It's easier to get TANIF , food stamps, Medicaid and free money from social security and HUD housing if you do not work. If you work at McDonalds for $6 an hour and taxes get taken out, in a month you will make like $700 if you work 40 hours a week. Why work for $700 a month when you can get $2000 for free without working?

Too many people freeload off welfare. Laziness, low self- esteem, low or no education, no mentors or role models, or even socio-economic or environmental factors create this harbour of laziness.
Also envy and jealousy. Most black people lived in the US all their lives and if they are on welfare they wonder why an asian can come into this country in 2 years and learn english, start a business, and buy a house and a car.

Low education and being poor are a bad combination mixed with envy , jealously, and greed create racial tensions and therefore they blame other races.
Hope this helps answering your question. I have experienced hatred from hispanics and blacks who lived in poor areas of town simply because I look different and drive a better car than they do. Everyone is in control of their lives, they just choose to live that lifestyle of getting free money from the government.

Well Kyle, let me tell you im an african american myself and im in an advanced middle school program that is the best in my state, and im about to take the SAT's in the eigth grade. And I admit that some of us often due blame whites for our problems. LETS GET TO THE NITTY GRITTY One: Often the media would blame and often portray us in the bad way because some of us commit the crimes, and can get away with shooting at an innocent black man and killing him because you can assume and believe that the black man had a GUN! Two: And when none of your known ancestors were slaves and to know what they went through then for them later to become independent and for many years to be treated so harshly you have no idea. Three: I admit we also complain when not nesscesary.... but we also dont get equal oppurtunities if a black has a PH.D and a white applys for the same job with a more minor degree they would side more and look at white applicants. Example: for me to work hard in my young school career and get on a strictly advanced program bus and have a white person to come up to me and ask am i on the wrong bus! then say oops i just never seen you before.

First of all I'm going to disagree that African Americans are not pulling their own weight. I know there some sloppy ones(every culture has them), but I will not believe that we are looking for a handout. It amazes me that a foreigner from the Islands or the Middle east come over here and set up shop in a Black neighborhood, while a decent black man/woman who works everyday struggles just to pay rent let alone try to own a business in a certain area. There are Blacks who have done quite lovely for themselves and the Black Enterprise Magazine and Essence Mags report them all the time. It seems like some folks are hyped up by the Media portraying us as lazy.

I disagree with you I lived in Kentucky and WV and the points you are speaking of pertain to them also. How do the country view Appalachians poor hicks with no social skills, no teeth, walk around with no shoes. A lot of people in these states are on welfare but without jobs due to the coal companies closings down what would you expect. The schools in these communities are poor with high dropout rates.

The moral of this story is maybe this trend is more societal than racial.

Hi, black people do this because they have scap goats. They think that the whites still owe them. Also blacks already sell drugs and over-utilize welfare. Let’s be serious, they have a lot of BS excuses for being lazy. And the same black people that complain about not getting jobs are the same black people that are low lives and are lazy.

I'm not sure of your socioeconomic status, but it appears that
your limited association with racial diversity is that of the
lower socioeconomic class of minorities. Or possibly you
are in a situation where you are in a lower socioeconomic
environment of whites which has limited you to see the
accomplishments and contributions that African Americans
and other minorities have contributed to society. I would think
it would be wrong to judge successful African Americans in
this country by the limited insight you display as it would be
wrongful to criticize all Euro/White Americans as being racist
simply from your point of view.

You are young, inexperienced, I'd be willing to bet that you have NEVER sat down and had a one on one personal conversation with a person of African-American descent.

Media conspiracy - there is some truth to this, due to the number of whites in the United States and the number of persons of color, there is no way that African-Americans commit the majority of crime. It's called unequal justice. The reality of it is, African-Americans commit less crime than whites, however most of the time, oftentimes, the police officers are white, they will give the white suspect a break (especially if it is a minor) and send the culprits on their way, don't even arrest them, while the African-American will go to jail, be be convicted and will be given a harsher sentence.

Poverty, most African-Americans don't want charity, we do not want anything given to us that we do not earn. Now white American has a different set of rules, pass over the qualified African-American and give the job to my wife's brother's sister's unqualified step-sisters uncle's cousin. Then when Affirmative action was initiated, and this was to make up for the many, many years of unequal treatment, then the angry white man rose up, they could not believe that African-Americans were now getting, if only temporarily, the good treatment that they had experienced all of their lives, and gee, now, they get a chance to see how inequality feels, and by gosh, they do not like it, it has got to stop. So white America, there are millions of college educated, and some not college educated persons of color, who only want a chance. It is only a given, we have to be 2-3 times better or more qualified to have a job of our white counterparts.

Slavery - well, your great-great-great grandparents probably owned slaves, and no, you couldn't have met them, as they had passed away hundreds of years prior to your birth. However, you are now enjoying the riches that your ancestors possessed, and they were able to be rich, because our ancestors worked for them for hundreds of years - FREE LABOR.

Imagine today, if you owned a factory, you had 500 workers, they worked free until they died, and then their children, and their grandchildren, and their great-grandchildren worked FREE until they died. Your family, and heirs would be rich, none of the profits were ever given to the enslaved Africans, thus it is only right that their profits be given to their descendants.

All I know is what I see blacks do in public whether its taking up parking in a handicapped space when they aren't really handicapped to acting like animals in public. Its not what someone told me but rather what I saw daily.
