No...but it relieves her of many burdens. You really don't realize how powerful those hormones are till they start to leave. Personnally I marveled at all it took to prepare the body to bring forth a life. Truly awesome. But in time you don't need them anymore and it does become a relief. No more PMS, cravings, highs and lows, no energy surges and exhaustion. It was all necessary at the time tho and you will find a great freedom of self and spirit when done. For once you have time for yourself because the kids start to leave around the same time as well. That freedom can be threatening to some who are not used to your new attitude.

No, it doesn't make them more manly. They may develop darker hair above their lip, but that's about it. Some younger women have this already if they have dark hair, only they wax it off.
