Stem cells. The universe is never ending with something new everyday i dont think the universe has possibilites to change the lives of people anytime soon. I think stem cells have the potential to save a persons life, since they can adapt to anything in the body. I think scientists should prioritise the research of stem cells.

I'm of the belief that space exploration is a waste of money. I mean it's not like "the new world" where we see resources we could use. it's just a bunch of air and stars that we can see from earth anyway. I realize we have satelittes up for business and whatnot. But those businesses need to pay for that stuff, not the government.
I also agree we ought to spend that money on useful research. If we can't support ourselves on earth, what are we going to do, go to some other planet and be miserable there too?

Realistically, besides advances in communication infrastructure, the space program has been a big "screw you" to every child who deserves a better school, every homeless person who could use a break, every underpaid cop and every overtaxed citizen... I really think the space program should be shelved.
I'm also really interested in hearing about how a Methodist Christian reconciles her faith with supporting stem cell research -not trying to be an *** here, I really am curious!
Cheers!

I think they should fight for the right to experiment with stem cell research. It would save a lot more people than it would kill. It really wouldn't even kill people it would just keep an egg from becoming a person, but we already have 6.5 billion people on this Earth anyway.

Anything but space. What a total waste, to me anyway. How about Cancer research, birth defects, Parkinson's, a myriad of health related issues.
A point of note. Before we had space programs, American scientists developed polio vaccine. Polio was the most devastating childhood disease ever. We wiped it out. Smallpox the same. Then came space and we have not eradicated a disease in 50 years.

i see no reason to be wasting money up in space, scrap the entire space program and research issues that mean something, like stem cells, look for cures to conditions,or use some of the money for better housing, health care overall, education and meaningful stuff like that

I think I'd go for the stem cell. let's save some lives before we try finding other life forms we know nothing about.

definite, I oppose it as properly. the reason i think of is by technique of the fact public help and utilising public money demands public action. and then there is the "slippery slope" that all and sundry started with birth control, then abortion, then manipulations like "in vitro", cloning and something regarding destruction of embryos. So in that experience, combating at abortion aids in combating different unethical practices. you're able to additionally understand, there is information in touch in information the technique. So scientists and church leaders have a particular criminal accountability to protest. And my church leaders like bishops do protest the practices you pronounced. it may be advantageous to hearken to greater nonetheless. yet you will no longer see the information in the information very lots which keeps consciences uninformed. And who is going to protest in the event that they think of of it as the thank you to have babies and shop lives. It sounds beneficial. desire that enables.
