fresh prince of bel air is the best example of a sitcom. gilmore girls not so much. i sit com stands for situational comedy. mostly shows with laugh tracks or live audiences, but not all of them are like that

Hummm I am thinking The Cosby Show because of its family feel and hey ya gotta love Bill Cosby...and Everybody Loves Raymond...that one because of the wonderful writing and some very unexpected moments...and the great acting...
