My son doesn't want all my music on his iPod only certain songs. Is this possible? If so, how do I do it?

its possible and so easy to do.

if you just wanna delete the songs that he doesn't want, do that and they'll never be updated.

or if you wanna keep the songs:
you see how the songs have check marks next to them?? well, uncheck them and the next time you sync your ipod, choose the option 'sync only checked items.'

You have to set up your settings to not automatically synchronise with your iPod. Follow these instructions:

So iTunes will not automatically load songs onto your iPod:

Connect your iPod to your computer.

When the iPod icon appears in the iTunes window (below Devices), select it.

If the Summary pane isn't showing, click the Summary tab.

Make sure that "Manually manage music" is selected. (If you have an iPod that displays video, the checkbox says "Manually manage music and video.")

OK you know how every song has a check in the side of them well the songs that your son has wants leave the check and the ones he doesn't want take the check off

yes in ur itunes library uncheck the little checks on the side of the library once u plug it in the unchecked won't go into ur ipod.

i have an ipod nano, when you first setup itunes it will ask you if you want to synk all youre songs and in your case click no. hope it helps, im still new too i got mine 2 days ago.

there should be little checkmarks by each song title. if the song titles don't show, and you have to click on the artists to show the songs downloaded, then look up and click on playlist. then, you should see the checkmarks.
