No i wouldnt, i found one a while back out side of K-marts. it was a hand bag that belong to an older lady, i looked in side and knew where the street was that she lived on. So i took it to her house, there was over $200.00 in side and many credit card and all her meds (in side her hand bag). She was in her drive way when i pulled up, i got out and said Hi and that i found her bag and that i looked on her ID to see where she lived, all she had to say was yeah i was just about to go back to K-Marts to see if i could find it.
Well i guess you saved me the trip......NO THANK YOU, NO OH MY THAT WAS SO KIND OF YOU.....Not even a smile.
2 weeks later i find another wallet in side $607.00 was in a casino and i took it over to the security booth, the guy that it belong to was there telling them he had lost his wallet and again NO THANK YOU...not like i was aking for a reward simple thanks would have been nice....

Well.. ethically and otherwise also you should try to find out the owner of the wallet. And RETURN the belongings. Unless they are already dead the credit cards might buy you some happiness or indulgence instantly but you are bound to be traced and punished for it. If you return safely the belongings to the rightfull owner you build a deposit in Lord's account and the who knows how the man with the fat wallet choses to reward you..:) If that happens it will be more than the entire embezzling thing.

When I was a kid me and a buddy found a wallet with several hundred dollars in it. We took it home and called the cops and the owner. Bastard didn't even say thanks and tried to say we had stolen it. Even the cops said he was an ahole. After that, I would always take out any cash and throw it in the garbage cans.

When I was stationed in Japan I drove cabs on base for extra bucks, had a guy try and stiff me for a fare one night. He got away, but in the back seat he had dropped his wallet. I considered it a 20 dollar fare with a 580 tip

I think you made a right choice. I think i would return a wallet because the person who lost sould be really happy and they don't have to worry about it, like think about what is you lost your wallet wouldn't you feel sick if you can't find. If the person is nice enough they can maybe give you a small reward, like little bit of cash. Great choice!!!

Absolutely, you should return the wallet. I am sure that there is some ID of the owner. Question? If you lost your wallet, wouldn't you want it returned???!!!!

i believe in karma, what goes around comes around, but even if i didnt believe in karma, the action of returning it to the owner would make me feel good about myself,so if i kept the wallet and spend the money that didnt belong to me,i would feel guilty later and deep down i would know what i did and how i would feel if someone did the same to me when i lost my wallet,so yeah i would return it

Yup, I would. I might be tempted to take the money, but I probably wouldn't because if I lost my wallet (which I have in the past) I would be sooo relieved to get it back. (and I'm not religious, so it has nothing to do with god or the bible, but with right and wrong)

Good for you.

Yes definitely! I know I would want somebody to return my lost purse or wallet if I ever lose either one.

I certainly would. I work hard for my money and know the value of it. If i found a wallet I would put myself in that person's shoes and realize that they likely needed the money as much as I would.

You're EVIL. littleS. Hehehehehe. Good for you for turning it in, but I wish you put a note that you were the one who found it so that the owner of the wallet will be able to thank you. I would turn it in too.
