I'm only like three weeks, but for the past couple of days, I have had bad head aches, and I never get head aches like this. Should I be concerned, or is this something a lot of people go through. This is my first pregnancy, so I don't know anything, so if this seems like a stupid question just humor me.

Today was my first doctor's appt. just to confirm the pregnancy. I haven't even been to the obstetrician yet. I didn't mention the headaches when I went in today, cause I was fine at the time and I had only had one so far. But I got another this afternoon. When I went in today she checked my blood pressure and it is fine. 120/80

Three weeks is a little early, but call your doctor's office (some places won't even see you till you're 10 weeks) and tell them about your headaches. If they think it's something to be concerned about, they'll fit you in.
Generally, headaches in the first trimester is common. I had a killer migraine at 9 weeks and other milder headaches a few times a week. An occasional dose of Tylenol is supposed to be okay, but check with your doctor.
Good luck!

God yes they are totally common.I had terrible headaches in the first trimester. They will go away in the second trimester. They feel a lot like Birth control pill headaches. This is all due to hormone changes in your body.It will get better in the 2nd trimester.Although in the 2nd trimester it will probably be backaches. You trade one symptom for another but it's going to be totally worth it when you feel your baby kick.I just started my third trimester today and I've got a headache right now.I hope they dint come back.Good luck honey!!!

I have headaches with this pregnany, but I didn't have them with my first.

As soon as your body becomes pregnant, it needs to adjust to the growing fetus.

Hormones play a major part in this, also the fact that your heart will be pumping more blood. This is why a woman's heart rate increases while pregnant.

The headaches/lightheadedness could just be the "bloodrush" feeling.

I wouldn't worry too much, but if you are really concerned about this then just give your doctor a call.

I did for the first 4 monthes or so. I did not want to take tylenol because I had them so much that I would have been taking medicine 5+ times a week so I just dealt with it. I am so glad that I don't have them anymore.

I'm 14 weeks, and I have the worst headaches, especially before bedtime. I asked my doctor about it, and he said that it's because my blood sugar is low, and to snack more during the day. So I eat a few more small snacks during the day, and I rarely get the terrible headaches.

Its not too unusuall, dont take pain killers though this can harm your baby .It could also be that your blood pressure is too high,go to doctor just to make sure. The doctor can also give you a "safe " pain killer you can take.Make sure you are not under to much stress, this also causes head-aches.
