First Jessica screws up the lyrics to the song "9 to 5", then she runs off the stage like a scared rabbit, and then she gets a second chance to tape the song but it is so bad that the producers chose not to show it. Do you think Dolly Parton is sympathetic toward Ms. Simpson, or is she pissed-off that someone chose this talentless airhead to "honor" her?

won't be able to compair Jessice Simpson with Dolly Parton, no way. Jessica Simpson has no expertise by any skill on an identical time as Dolly is an extremely proficient woman. comments variety on expertise as you nicely understand. i'm assuming you meant to assert you hated Christmas music? So, turn it off. i'm going to consider you that i won't stand all of the remakes of classic Christmas songs. each united states of america celebrity and now, God forbid, rap person thinks they could make a Christmas album. Get off the practice people. go away the classic songs on my own. They have been sung nice initially. we don't choose for them stepped up, rapped up and ruined.

I think Dolly is honored. She made a statement about how she didn't know what the fuss was about, she thought Jessica did a great job. I saw the first performance and I feel for Jess. Can you imagine singing in front of your idol? I'd be nervous too, and it just goes to show that celebs are human too.

Knowing how laid back and what a cool lady Dolly is, I think that she would probably have said to her "honey do not worry another thing about it...I think you did good...you was just a little nervous and it happens to us all...thanks for taking the time to honor me" I have a feeling that she would totally understand because she herself has been a target for many years but is the first one to laugh at herself...

Jessica felt badly that she couldn't do Dolly justice. I'm sure Dolly understands that and is sympathetic.

I don't think Dolly is sympathetic, but I don't think she is mad at Jessica. I think she really understood what was going on and that she is just a little shook up by it all.
