Evolution IX.

The Supra is already 7-10 years old and your going to pay about the same for each car. A good condition Twin Turbo Supra will run about 30k-35k and the Evolution MR the same.

The Supra is a great car, dont get me wrong, but for the price you can have a new car that is just as fast.

It depends what you want to do with the car. Drag racing in a straight line, or "street racing" on the highway where you just put your foot down, a Supra is probably faster, and if you want to modify your car the Toyota will have more headroom as well (3.0 twin turbo versus 2.0 single turbo).

If you also need to carry passengers and/or cargo a Lancer will be better - four seats and a trunk.

If you'll be driving on windy roads, it's a matter of personal preference. 4WD will offer more stability at the limit, but at the expense of more understeer before you get there.

Also important is the weather. The Supra would probably be the better choice if you live in a dry climate. If you get a lot of rain, the AWD Mitsubishi will be a far better and more useable performer.

A very hard question, but it can be answered. The Mitsubishi is alright to drive and is good for drifting and all, but the Supra has excellent speed and can burn rubber really fast. The Supra has the speed, the evo has the stability and cornering. This is just similar to the Evo VIII to the WRX from Subaru. If the Evo VIII were to go against the Supra, the Supra would have no chance. The Evo VIII would own the Supra really bad, as I own and drive a Mitsubishi Evo VIII myself.

people are funny saying a car that is already 7 years old isn't going to perform as good as a newer one. I have a 68 roadrunner that'll beat the sh*t out of both of those who's gonna say age has anything to do with it. Get the supra I had a 95 supra best investment I ever made it was only a single turbo but I still got 660 HP out of her with upgrades and holds their value better than the evo.

I would say definitely an Evo because maintenance will be so much cheaper but neither of the two cars is really that cheap. Evo Mr 6 speed is soooo nice and smooth. Mitsubishi 4wd is the best! Evo has more bang for the buck. Better reliability with the turbo. Just do your oil changes without fail using only MOBIL1

I used to have an evo 8, i hit a tree at my drivers door goin 147 mph (according to mitsu's computers) and im here to talk about it. think about that
