Could be any number of things. Maybe they weren't partitioned right. Maybe they are going bad. Maybe your BIOS is set wrong so that it thinks the drives are different sizes.
If they both say the same thing of 7.83 gb each, then I'd guess check your BIOS settings on boot up and see what it shows there. If the BIOS shows the correct sizes, then maybe they have different partitions in another format or maybe they are starting to go bad. There are other possibilities too, so we'd need more information.

what operating system are you running? type of computer?
