The admission policies of law schools vary. Some focus a great deal on LSAT scores, because it is an easy way for them to manage applications. Others prefer to admit on the basis of grades. Admission essays and community work may also figure into the decision. Each school has their own formula.

While you may not get into the law school you want, you may nevertheless be able to get into another one. Research law schools, contact their admissions boards (or recruiters) to ask about the suitability of your LSAT score, and apply where possible.

You can also take the LSAT again. You may benefit from preparation, in the form of learning how to take the test using practice examinations.

One last thing, and this is to address your depression about the possibility you might not get into law school: There remains a chance you will be admitted to law school. But if you do not go to law school, either because of the LSAT or because you choose to not go, you will have the opportunity to succeed at other things which you may find even more fulfilling. Whatever your choice, you will form friendships and have experiences you would not sacrifice had you the chance to go back and do it all over again. Take heart in this, and best of luck whatever you do.

If you're a minority, perhaps a single parent, have some more or less, permanent health issue, and with some extra good luck, the child of, maybe a quadriplegic, you're a shoe in! Don't worry about your score ... you don't need one!!

At least that's the kind of crap keepin' me out of Rutgers Law ... and I have excellent LSAT scores and graduated at the top of my class in undergrad school. Go figure ... I actually a little too white with no issues! Remember the good old days when you got into a school by being the best qualified for acceptance?

154 is not bad. It's not really good, but it by no means disqualifies you from being admitted into a law school. I scored a 158 and was admitted to the University of Houston Law Center.

If you want to get into a law school, you'll need a 150 and up. The higher ranked the school, the higher score you'll need.

If your goal is any law school, you should be fine provided you have a reasonable GPA. It doesn't even have to be above 3.0.
