When someone has very low expectations for you, it's harder to feel the high self esteem needed to accomplish things. When you want someone to be successful, make sure they know you believe in their abilities.

You have to work to surpass. You can give up easily. In order to achieve you must surpass. That's how it breaks down. A little work goes a long ways.
