I believe they exist- at least in Massachusetts : )
But I truly believe that homosexuals should have the same rights as anybody else. They are no less human for their sexuaal orientation. I also think it is ridiculous to consider writing a discriminatory amendment to the constitution, that marriage is between a man and a woman.
It's not a heterosexual's business if a homosexual wants to get married. People can be so closed minded.
I hope many others agree with me. This is just another phase, like racial discrimination or discrimination against women. It is different in no way, and it is sad that the bible is manipulated to discriminatory causes.
I would also like to note that since God created everyone according to the Christian faith, he must want gay people to be the way they are. There is scientific evidence supporting the fact that people are born gay, at least some people.

The concept of marriage has changed. People jump into such a comitment these days. Allow gay marriages and in a year, compare the amount of divorces from gay and straight marriages. You'll find out pretty damn quick who is really in love. As for the whole religion thing... I thought religion teaches about love for everyone. I guess not. It sounds like allot of you want to go back to the days of burning people on stakes. First it was witches, paegans then Africans, now gay people. 2000 years of killing people because they don't agree with what a little book says. How about we start practicing what we preach.

I do not. The law doesn't and the Bible doesn't. You can change the law but it, in God's eyes is still sin.
I do at least believe that even if you have a gay partner you should have the same rights as a married couple if that is how you're living. Thing like being able to get information or to visit if your partner is in the hospital. This should also go if you're in a hetero sexual relationship and are engaged. (don't know if it now does or not, but should)

I most certainly do NOT! In the bible it says that man and woman shall marry. Not man and man or woman and woman. God made Adam and Eve, NOT Adam and Steve. People who say they were born gay are full of it! God would not make a person into something he doesn't recognize as holy. Satan has brought himself into the world. People were not BORN gay, they CHOSE to be gay. They need a reality check and to get straight with God!!
Ciao for now,
Tara

Only insane, homophobic idiots do NOT believe in equal rights. Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual people are PEOPLE first and deserve the same rights as everyone else including marriage. And for those people who claim that the bible and 'god' is against it, READ your bible (which BTW is a book of fiction, written by imperfect men). The bible has MORE references to how a woman is suppose to DRESS than about homosexuality! Deal with it people!

Personally, I think gay and marriage make an oxymoron if said together, don't get mad at me, I don't think marriage applies to people of the same sex... but that's me. And I don't hate gays.

I think every person deserves the opportunity to be happy through love, and also receive the benefits such as in matrimony. Being gay is not a choice, and it harms no one. Two consenting adults should choose what happens in their bedroom and home, not a church or government. I am in favor of gay marriage/civil union.
