You can talk to a lawyer but depending on the laws of your state the statute of limitattions is probably up. Usually for these kinds of cases a lawyer will have a free consultation so it cant hurt to see one.

There are quite a few things going against you in this. I think your mother would have to be the one to pursue action (if, indeed there might be a case). The first step would be to talk with an attorney. Also check into whether there have been any class action suits of this type filed. Good luck.

do it..i regret not doing it..my brother died 4 years ago this december..and i think it was because of this dentist he went to..i was younger at the time..and didnt put two and two together now i regret it..i have already spoken to a private investigator..but next stop is an attorneys office..i am actually a pre law student so that i myself can settle my brothers case..you will never know for sure..but theres always that chance..you can do it..just one step at a time..it might help also with closure..because i know once someone dies that is close to you..you feel this empty void..do it for your dad..cuz i know im doing it so that my brother may rest in peace..

The company was probably liable, but as it's gone now, it probalby cannot be held accountable. Another concern is that it's been, as you say, 20 years. With that amount of time, the statue of limitations has probalby expired, and once that's expired, you cannot file charges.

Find out if there is a statute of limitations on this matter.
Then you have to find proof that is historical in nature.
Talk to an expert (activist only) in the field of chemicals that he was dealing with.
Very Sorry for your loss...Now you need closure.

Since the company has closed down and is no longer in existence, there would be no assets to collect from or anyone to sue for the liability to collect.
