get open and make her pass the ball to you. try not to let her have a chance at making a big play. when you're open make big plays, but don't try to hog the ball, because it's a team sport, and you can't win by yourself, and neither can she. also allow other girls get points, you'll find that if other people score a lot you'll have a lot of chances yourself

get to the charity line.
practice.
be a team player. I have been on teams where a couple teammates shot more than dished off. One of them I could shoot better than him with a bowling ball. Naturally, we lost most times. And I shot 58% for the season, 65% in the playoffs.
I learned to be smart with shooting. If someone needs to shoot 30 times to get 25 points, you are not playing smart.
One trick to learn thru practive - learn to dribble off the catch AND learn to shoot with both hands. You're not as easy to defend with this skill.

just remember B.E.E.F.
B = balance; make sure that you are not falling over when you shoot your shots
E = elbows; make sure that your elbow is under the basketball when you shoot
E = eyes; keep your eye on the basket not the ball
F = follow through; like your doing right now
i'm on a middle school team right now, the top scorer, and i used beef too!

Now you may think I'm kinda stupid but...think pass first. On a fast break or somethin', be willing to pass, cuz the pay off will be the ball coming back to ya. Also, be able to finish whenever you get the ball. Help your friend out since you say her shot looks retarded. Move around, and ask your teammates to set picks for you, to enable you to get wide open. Remember to finish...God Bless.

dont think about shooting with the correct form when u shoot the ball. the number 1 thing is to just get ur feet placed and set to the basket and make sure u have those hands on the ball comfortable. you dont have to necessarily outscore ur 2 teamates, but u can just show them in practice that they should pass it to you more and that u shud have the leading role in the game. dont let other ppl take your spot, believe in yourself, practice and ull get there.

You want to be #1 on the team, that, I understand.
but if you do, you've got to be a little selfish(maybe more than a little).
It depends on your skill.
attack, shot more, and try to get to the foul line.
when without the ball, try to get open, or at least more open then she is and make your teammate pass you the ball.
but don't over do it, if you do, the coach might think of you as selfish and bench you.
and the key, practice more!
this can always improve your game.

go to basketball camp. And remember often the best girl on the team isn't liked as much as the girl who passes and plays with skill.
