I'm not sure because I usually do the same thing when someone stares at me for a long time for whatever the person's damn reason. I even often ask, "what is it?" sarcastically hehe... Well okay it's kinda rude but can't help it.. it's really annoying. But if I like the person, he can stare at me as long as he wantssss.... heh.

Rude? Yes, it was. A much nicer way to have asked would have been a simple "May I help you?". You might have looked like someone, she might have thought you're cute, your zipper could have been open, it could have been many things.
The only thing you accomplished was embarrassing her and yourself.

There are better ways to point out rude behavior than by being even more rude than the initial act. That's the sort of thing the Bush administration does in their foreign policy initiatives.

Yes, some people aren't aware that they're staring, and last time I checked staring doesn't make you a whore, sleeping around with strangers does.
