am i the only one who didn't feel cheated by the ending? it's a bitter ending to be sure but honestly, what other ending could there have been? Rolands quest for the Tower was always one of damnation and i think it serves that the ending be just as damned for him. I hate how it ended for Roland but i think that there is no better ending to the series.
if you disagree please tell me what a better ending would have been.

I finished this book over a month ago and it continues to haunt my dreams. I picked up the first book back in May and, coincidentally, got food poisoning that night. I would read a book, then several other authors before returning to the series. A committment like that can get you very attached to a character. I hated what happened to Roland, but it was a far better ending than a lot of King stories (ex. The Stand). And there was room for hope. That meant a lot to me.

I didn't like it either after reading all 7-8 books I can't remember,It could have ended much better !
