Email the seller and ask if you can retract your bid. If you genuinely can't pay for the item, the seller may let you off the hook.

If they won't let you retract the bid, then all you can do is hope that someone outbids you for the item. Buyer's remorse isn't considered a valid reason for retracting a bid and will result in negative feedback at the least.

on ebay in like y ebay or something on the bottem there is bid retraction and u put in the bid number and then put in y u r doing what u r doing and no questions asked done.

Hope someone out bids you or communicate with the owner. You don't want to get a bad reputation by backing out of a deal. Your reputation or rating is what is important.

Then you should'nt have bid on it. Wait to see if some one bids over your bid, ... if no one does and the auction ends with you as the winning bidder than you "do" have to send payment to the seller for that item.

you can retract your bid but it will show up on your feedback. Explain to the seller why you don't want it anymore and maybe they won't leave you negative feedback if you retract.

You could sell it on Ebay again. You might be able to get more out of it then what you payed! :)
