result. Now they are more likely to be a woman alone taking a test, and then never showing a result, just her being happy. Meaning that the test could have gone either way. I just started noticing that this last weekend. Anybody want to speculate on why that is?

i don;t feel that only married women should get pregnant, i was just noticing the difference in commercials. Of course a woman can be happy about not being pregnant.

I think a lot of us have been in a situation where it might just be better to not be pregnant.....or it might be good to be pregnant....Personally, I have three kids, and I've always done the test alone, because I didn't want my partner to be happy or disappointed, if the test was wrong....and why should ppl have to feel guilty to have either reaction? Maybe it's just a bad time to get pregnant, or the perfect time, either way, you can be happy...

50% of pregnancies are unplanned. Also, more children are being born outside of wedlock then ever before. IMO America has made children out to be a horrid burden that no one wants to deal with. Also, with the way society works fertility and childbirth and rearing is up to the woman and only the woman. It is her responsibility to make sure she takes a pill/shot/etc to prevent pregnancy. It is her responsiblity to make all decisions regarding birth. And still (even thought women work outside the home) they also do much more of the child rearing then men. How come you never see men on the diaper commercials or those awful formula commercials? How come dad isn't playing with the plastic fisher price light up junk with the new baby? It's just a sad view America has on children and family anymore. Children are a blessing, not a burden.

Maybe because they're realizing that more and more young teenage girls are taking their tests and may or may not be glad if the test is positive or negative. I guess it just shows how our society is changing.

it's probably because there's so many young girls and people having babies without being married that they are just trying to advertise to use their product for peace of mind...so you know. Just a thought.

Wow. Until you pointed it out I never noticed it. I think you're on to something,

probably because so many same sex couples are getting pregnant, and so many pregnant women dont have men in their lives, it wouldnt be politically correct to show a man and woman anymore.

Wow.

Thats sad.
