I got a 360 for christmas and i need help. I bought a game today for original xbox and it won't work on my 360.help?

That is because you need to look at the list of original xbox games that are able to be played on the 360. Some games don't work. That link tells you =)

All box games will work on the xbox 360. Make sure that the disc for the game is not scratched...also make sure that the game disc is securely inside the game try of your xbox 360...if it still doesn't work, take the game back to the store because there must be something wrong with the game

Any new games for original Xbox should have something on them that says "Xbox compatible" or something like that if they are meant to be played on Xbox 360.
I can't make the really old one's work either.

First, what game is it? Not all Xbox games are compatible with the Xbox 360. Also, for the compatible games, you need to download a software emulator to play old games.
If you go to Xbox's web site, you will find a compatibility list and how to play your game.

not all xbox games are able to be played on the 360, without a modem and downloading the proper content and updates you wont be able to play. for a list of compatible games go to xbox.com
