When I was younger I used to think so but one day it just kinda clicked the reason they were always so hard on me was cause they didn't want me to settle for anything less then what I deserved.My parents are really wise and have lived a life full of mistakes and achievements so how could I not look up to them and to them for guidance.

No, they're just really old. They do the best they can. I think you actually love your parents, you're just mad at them right now because they punished you for doing something wrong. Don't be mad because they did the right thing.

my mom is a complete moron. she accused my dad of cheating on her when she was the one cheating on him (for at least 15 years).

I love my mom a lot too...I think after a time you outgrow that "moron" phase thank God! Why do we ever think that?

lets see, after my father raped, beat and molested me until i was three, my mom ignored me and beat me, then got remarried, my step-dad beat me until i couldnt stand, um, but deep down, i still love them, even if they are morons.
