I am referring to the death of singer James Brown on Christmas. This man was a legend who has contributed enormously to the music industry, yet I have heard very little from the media to mark his passing. RIP James Brown.

Its true not everybody gets the recognition that they deserve when they die. James Brown did get a lot of coverage in the newspaper though. As far as the new shows, it goes a lil something like this..."Sadly the legendary James Brown died last night. We will miss him.....in other news Brad Pitt is said to be arguing with Angelina...lets go to the tapes..."

Sad...RIP James Brown. Hope u feelin good up there!

It was on the front page of my newspaper. There was a lot of attention given to it...you might have missed some, as it was Christmas. RIP James...the hardest working man in show business.

I live in Australia and the news of his passing and great tributes headed all our television channels newscasts.
Our internet sites were covered in the news and tributes as is my local paper.
You would need to be in a coma to be unaware of the great James Brown's passing.

I suppose it has to do with their status or fame level. Just like when someone is killed in the real world they are "murdered" but if someone of high stature is killed, its considered an "assanation"! You see!? Theres my take on it. Just depends on who you are, or who you know.... sucks but thats life!
