I live in Kansas City, so I have to hear all the crap about them coming to KC. We recently had a story in the newpaper saying Christmas coming early for KC. Because the state turnded down the Isle of Capri. My father is from Munhall, PA and I grew up loving the Pirates, Steelers, Penguins and the U. of Pitt.. I do not believe in my heart that they will leave, the city does not want it and the NHL does not want it. I pray something works out and regardless of the new Sprint Center in KC this is no place for a hockey team or a NBA team. KC has had both and could not keep them. Why now with it costing more to attend those games do the people of KC think they will support them? Please do not give me the crap "well we support the Chiefs". Sure you do, they only play at home 8 times regular season and you give your tix away for preseason games. I will continue to support the Penguins and believe in the NHL and Mario!!!

Who said Pittsbugh doesn't want the Pens?? The potenital move has nothing to do with the fans and the city itself. As usual, bureaucrats and red tape are screwing things up! Who the heck turns down a company who wants to build an arena at no cost, preferring to saddle the taxpayers with the bill?

Who said Pittsbugh DOESN'T want the Penguins? The State was the one who decided who got the slot's license. The city is BANKRUPT. It is very difficult to get the funds as far as building an Arena, and no one wants to pay more taxes for that. Would YOU want to? Do you think ANY CITY wants to? Yeah there is more to the story then some realize.

The fans are awesome with their support for the PENS. We want them to stay in PITTSBURGH. In fact many fans got together for a rally:
Save the Pens Rally

Out politicians suck @ss! They are stupid and don't like to take 'hand outs'. If the pens leave, it's not because of the fans, its because the corrupt politicians are willing to give new homes to the pirates and steelers and don't give a crap about the pens. The pens deserve a new arena...in Pittsburgh, we have one of the crappiest arena in the league.

the FANS of Pittsburgh are great they've had a team for almost 40 years and its a shame this is happening to this team, Isles Capri Casino Chain would of built a $290 million dollar arena and no tax to the city, and the city council turn the offer down doesn't make any sense. if the city decides to build one the city will be facing higher taxes stupid if you tell me.
GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

well....from what i've read i don't think they want to give the pens away...they just don't have money and plus no one wants to buy them...i think it's really sad that the team has to get relocated...it's like the expos when they had to move the team to washington. but i don't think a lot people care about baseball up in canada...its all about hockey. I would probably cry if the bruins, celtics, red sox, or the patriots have to move somewhere else...

They do, but do you want to pay another tax to build an arena? I wouldn't. Everything now is sponsorship and the company that was willing to sponsor them didn't get a license to do business so of course they aren't going to give $280 million for an arena in a city that denied them a gambling license.
