typical response from dc girl--an outright lie. it doesnt even make sense that a lawsuit would have to be filed to provide LEGAL immigrants with the opportunity to drive a car or rent one. shheez is it any wonder a baffoon like kerry got 47% of the vote? the link supplied by dc fool was from 2003 and it didnt even say what she thought it did

link link link lol. turn on the damn news. now u have "g" trying to stick up for you cause hes loves a loser. HER "case" isnt even about legals. it has one line it it that says that requiring documents will cause legals to not be able to get drivers licenses. HOW would it do that? are they too dumb to read their documents or to show them to a counter girl? oh, its just liberal bullshit, i forgot. Your own LINK makes my point, why should i post one--or do u want the one where the dems dont want the police to question illegals congregating on the street corners waiting for jobs? u want that one too??

The real question would be how many of these illegals have insurance for the cars they are driving and the property they are renting. I doubt many, if any at all.

The government has really failed regarding illegals. They know where most of them are. Why are they not arresting them and sending them home? It is because most of the illegals have illegal jobs which they pay taxes and the government does not want to loose that income.

Drivers licenses? That goes together?

It is not going to work under REAL ID and at least one federal court already said so when a state wanting to give licenses to illegals was sued by a 9/11 family group.

i will verify the silver lining in this - while you're required to have a drivers license ON you, and you get stopped, the officer can tell right this moment who you're. there's no giving a pretend call, being "undocumented" - to the officer, or for scientific care. of direction, he ought to turn you over to ICE to be deported. This additionally skill that manhattan could have a checklist of unlawful immigrants w/i its borders and could turn the whole checklist over to ICE. they're going to nonetheless be unlawful, yet they could't declare to be "undocumented". It jogs my memory various a series up for earnings tax evasion - in case you have a driving force's license, you're on the books for paying taxes (despite while you're a citizen or no longer, you ought to pay federal and state earnings taxes). and this is going to require motor vehicle coverage which will help decrease the fees for something persons. Who thinks that the coverage companies will ingredient interior the "sort" of license each and every driving force has?

I just checked the ACLU web site and the law suit you are referencing refers only to LEGAL immigrants. I think you have gotten confused. Not all immigrants are legal and it appears the ACLU is trying to protect the LEGAL immigrants from the bigots and hate-mongers that assume that everyone with an accent is illegal.

--------

And the reason they need to protect LEGAL immigrants is because BIGOTS and SMALL-MINDED RACISTS (sound familiar) cannot seem to understand that not all immigrants are illegal. Yes, that's right--- not all Mexicans (or Chinese or Salvadoreans or etc) are illegal, and a LOT of people discriminate against them just because they're foreign born.

And as much as you mock my link and reference--- we are still waiting to see one shred of proof that your question is based on an actual lawsuit and not something that crawled out of your bottle.

The ACLU is ruining this country. They are against
everything good and for everything bad. They have
not helped this country at all yet they receive government
money. It's rediculous They'd like to kick out Christians,
Boy Scouts, Pro-Lifers, the Family, Marriage as we've
known it, private schools, churches, and Republicans.

Some of the ordinances are illegal and anti-Constitutional. There is no precedent to support them and these initiatives must follow a track or they have no legal standing.

When laws are instituted done properly, they protect you and your family too. So don't let vigilantes create your laws because they will eventually take all that you have.

bud, you may want to wake up, I know personally a person that braggs about being in the ACLU, and I can tell you she is a church going conservative, and would stab anyone in the back to climb the ladder.

It wouldn't surprise me. I don't oppose EVERYTHING that the ACLU does with their litigation. But they go too far on a number of things.

The ACLU's suit does have a kind of precedent to back it. Look at my answer to this question. This reinforces what Reba K said.

Well...okay...I'll just call you Ishmael....LOL....Anyway, Ishmael... although you have raised a question.......you lacked the information and foundation needed to support your claims.....I may not support all they do...BUT.......I do disagree with a majority of their work. Especially...in giving illegals these "rights"....when they are "only opportunities"....as described in law....... for citizens in the US.

Anyway....were you referring to "Democrats", grow up, even long time republicans have switched parties...I prefer not to......but...don't just start.....swinging crap around that way!

WHAT CASE ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? you cite nothing and I'm positive you have no idea...

is it the one she cited where it talks about LEGAL immigrants?

I seriously doubt you have any actual clue what you're talking about and I doubt you could teach a dog to roll over... if you ACTUALLY KNEW.. you would cite specifics...and you would have from the beginning... so we all knew exactly the case you're referring too...

but all Republicans do is call people stupid and cry about spelling when you actually ask them to cite what they talk about... classic!
