In the commercials for eragon, one of the comments was,"move over Harry Potter", and "more fun than Harry Potter." I think that if they were really sure it was better than Harry Potter, they wouldnt need to say it on their commercials. Besides, words are words but the numbers dont show eragon is better than harry potter in terms of how many people went to go see it. That's my opinion so answer my question with your opinion, thanx*

Depends on your point of view. I've watched both Harry Potter and Eragon. I was quite disapointed in both movies. Harry Potter is slightly better, but only because it follows the book better. The graphics in Eragon were excellent, though they might better if not targeted at the PG rating. Really both movies were a let down, but that is my point of veiw. They both would have been better if I hadn't read the books. I asked my friend who watched both movies and she said both movies were one of the best she has seen, but she hasn't read the books. In general those who have read the books were extremely dissapointed and those who haven't enjoyed the movies.

You should just read the books and see the truth about the whole plot and storyline. Then decide for yourself.

I think they were saying that because the Eragon movie was meant to have the same level of interest as Harry Potter, but if you have read the Eragon book and watched the movie you would know that the movie is a real disappointment. If you haven't read Eragon then you probably won't understand, Eragon is just as good as Harry Potter.

The Eragon book is tree times the size of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban yet the movie is only 1 hour and 52 minutes long. The movie leaves so much out and puts other stuff in that just doesn't make any sense. It's like if the people who made the 2nd Harry Potter movie made it so Tom Riddle told Harry he was Voldemort at the start of the movie instead of the end. The Eragon movie is great for a movie but compared with the book it's terrible.

Well, HP has been popular for a while--people have read the books, so they want to go see the movies. Eragon is new--and it does have books, but they were never as well-read as HP.

Just because more people went to SEE the Harry Potter movies, doesn't mean that more people LIKED the Harry Potter movies.

Some say anything for the sake of fun, and others will spend 15 million to have a horrendous action figure pack, whether there is no imagination or suspense to creatures no happenings are created and children will just bore and complain in the cinemas.
This eragon seems the story of a big mistake made public, even it seems sarcasm to call this fabled creature a dragon, it does not look like one. Perhaps the creators thought of godzilla first and then went on with the drawing of a very creative dragon or something like it. It is not cute and does not seem to react well with multitudes, dragons are well known for their exhibits around people and will also avoid eating where feelings are encountered.

I saw Eragon and all the HP movies, and both are worth watching. It just depends if you fantasize of dragons or a magic school.

My fashionable is the third. i myself enjoyed how properly carried out it became. they actually stayed authentic to the e book in that action picture and that i enjoyed it. The Dementors have been carried out o.k., and that i presumed that they solid the aspects of Lupin and Sirius completely. super action picture. My least fashionable action picture could have ot be the 6th. I enjoyed the 6th e book, it became my fashionable, yet they thoroughly butchered it. Am i the only one that thinks that could be somewhat stupid to explode the Weasley's domicile for no reason. THe Weasley's domicile remains thoroughly intact i n the e book. I additionally don't be attentive to the way they could basically thoroughly write out bill and Fleur's engagement. isn't the reality that those 2 get married especially important in the seventh e book? Plus, they in actuality wrote out the conflict that occurs whilst Dumbeldore dies. I basically theory that the 6th action picture became a brilliant step down from the others.
