Forget the dermatologist, the wart will just grow back.

Slice up a root of fresh ginger or garlic and place it on the wart under a bandaid or small piece of duct tape and change it once every couple of days.

It will take a good month or so but it will dry up the wart, turn the wart shrivled and white and then you can just pull the wart out.

Good luck.

A subtle way to remove warts: take a small piece of duct tape (yes, the silver gray duct tape) and put it over the wart. Keep it covered by a band-aid. It will take about a month. keep replacing the duct tape and the band-aid, but it will go away. Remember, once you have the virus that causes warts, you are very likely to have one pop up somewhere else. so be prepared! (no, it isn't the same virus that causes genital warts)

It depends on what kind of wart it is. My daughter had one on her wrist and the doctor tried freezing it off and it didn't work. After about 6 weeks of trying to freeze it off the wart got bigger. The doctor finally just cut it off and it didn't ever come back.
Now my son on the other hand had a plantar wart and the doc froze it off. It took like 4 weeks. Then he got another one and I used over the counter wart treatment and it went away but it took 6 weeks.
Try over the counter stuff if you don't have insurance. If you have good insurance go see a doctor.

Strange you should ask that. I actually had it done to me. Have a friend place a string around the wart. Tie it in a knot around the wart and pull it shut without catching on the wart. Take the string outside and bury it in the ground. I have no idea how it works, but it does work.

I think if you put garlic on it (I think you tape it on there and leave it for ten minutes or so) it's supposed to fall off (you have to cut the clove open and put the open part on the wart). I know it sounds weird, but my mom was going to use it on my finger once when I was little and she knows a lot about home remedies. I couldn't go through w/ it, cuz I luv my wart, hehe. But you should try it out, it's not gonna hurt anything =P.

I use Dr Scholls wart remover gel. Get it in the foot care department. It is much better than the liquid since it does not dry out in the bottle and it sticks to the wart.

buy that stuff at the drug store, put it on the wart, then peel it the next day

repeat, 5x for a small wart 30x for a large one

or use a hot nail to burn it off, get the roots too
