Then can we start with the politicians? There is nothing on earth more hazardous to our health than corrupt politicians. Think of the people that have died or become maimed in wars caused by special interest groups vying for supremacy and bigger portions of the economic pie. Think of the tens of millions that have perished under tyrants (Stalin, Pinochet, Mao, Pol Pot come to mind). And what about the politicians who in return for bribes allow pollution of the rivers, forests and air. Think of the millions suffering from asthma, cancer, lesions, birth defects as a result. I think you're on to something here.

Lets see, bleach is hazardous to your health, but it is so effective in cleaning. Cars can be hazardous to your health; but I still own one to get to work...
Nope, it just doesn't wash. There are too many hazards out there. You just need to be smart enough to know which ones to avoid. Those who aren't smart enough to stay away from dangerous products deserve whatever happens. This is called "Natural Selection;" it weeds out the stupid and makes us all that much smarter.

No, if fools want to destroy themselves with harmful substances, society will be the better for it. Remember that this country is based on freedom Just don't waste my money trying to cure them, let 'em go and let their parents take care of them. Government already is in too much control. But then, running a red light is hazardous to others.

It sounds like a good rule to implement, however, it would be incredibly hard to enforce. Besides the obvious: cigarettes, excessive alcohol consumption, etc. you would have to include common things we all use. Cars, carpet padding, cabinet adhesive, chemicals used in clothing/furniture production, insecticides, and the list goes on and on. It would really take everyone caring about doing it for it to work. And I'm pretty sure even if the law prohibited it, people/companies would still use harmful substances.

Before you make anything illegal it has to be replaced with something that take the place of whatever you may have in mind.

no that would put us in even more of a dictatorial state, if the government decided what was bad for us. If this was the case I bet they wouldn't say that smoking is bad for us as it brings in so much revenue
