I'm a mom and I disagree with all those who are telling you to do something sneaky or dishonest. I don't know how old you are but you can be assured that your mom loves you and does not want you to be embarrassed. You are obviously starting to grow up a little bit if you want to shave and she will understand that. She would be disappointed in you if you lied to her or sneaked around and did it behind her back. Your question doesn't say she's told you that you can't start shaving yet, it says you are too shy to ask her. Trust your mom, hon. It will be a good way to strengthen the trust between you and her. If she thinks you're too young to start shaving, then do tell her you're embarrassed and ask her if she'll get you some cute tights to wear so your legs won't show. This is NOT a good time in your life to start lying to your mom or being sneaky with her. If she finds out, she won't trust you later on more important things and you won't feel like you can go to her when you have other "growing up" issues that you need to talk to her about.

Try hanging around home in a skirt and bare legs. The fact that they're hairy may provoke a suggestion from your mom that you shave them. If not, ask her whehter you should shave them. And if the answer's NO, then there are worse things than hairy legs.

well, it depends how old are you right... but if your old enough then why do you have to asked your mom....if i wear you just go to the shower put some cream in your legs and shave it... it only take list than 5 minutes.... when your mom fine out then just tell her the truth that you like to wear skirts and you want to shave your hair because you don't what your friends make fun of you because of your hairy legs... I've been there before all my friends making fun of me because of my hairy legs....

The first time I shaved my legs my mother didn't know and really didn't care when she found out. However, I also find that if you like long skirts you don't need to shave or you can wear a pair of the really cool boots that come up to the knee or thigh.

If you are over 13, ask your mom. Say "Hey Mom. You know, somebody made fun of my legs the other day because they are hairy. Can you show me how to shave them?" And I'm sure she will sympthasize with you and it should work out. Good luck! And if not, just wear pants all the time? :/

depending on how old you are you should ask your mom to shave.....if you are at least 11 it would probably be a good idea to start......but if you are young like 8 or 9 dont worry about hairy legs....it will be fine....never be shy to ask your mom anything....she was your age once and she understands....just go for it....the worse thing she can say is no....good luck!!

Just tell your mom. She will understand. I'm sure she might have had to tell her mom when she was younger. Just point out to her that you think your legs are hairy and ask her what she thinks you should do. Good luck.

If you are too shy, the next time you are at a clothing store, buy some nylon tights that are your skin color. you cant even tell your wearing tights they look like your legs! and you cant see hair. but you really should bring it up with your mom or talk to a friend about how she asked her mom about shaving. hope i help. -chellie

I would speak to my mother, you should be old enough to shave your legs. I am sure she would understand, because she also shaves her legs. I am a mother of three, two boys and a girl 28
